Wise or Foolish

"Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain" (First Corinthians 3: 18- 20).

Worldly wisdom has deceived some people to think they are wise to discard God and His Word. They show themselves to be foolish in so doing. To be truly  wise, one will likely be considered foolish in the eyes of the "wise" people in the world by embracing the way of God instead of that proposed by the fools who reject Him.

If it were not so sad it would be comical to observe those who think they are so smart, superior, educated, intellectual, informed, brilliant, expert, elite and all-knowing as they set up their own ways, gods, doctrines and denials of the true and living God. They only make themselves fools. Be not deceived by them.
