They Have Moses

When the rich man was pleading with Abraham to send Lazarus back to his brother in order to warn them, Abraham refused saying they already had what God provided. They lived under that system. They should pay attention to that and not be looking for something extra and different.

How like many today. They are not content with God's revelation, the Bible. They want to be religious but evidently do not think God gave them all they want or need. So they heap to themselves their creeds, manuals, disciplines, catechisms, prayer books, on and on. God's Word just is not sufficient to them. They all have adopted some form of latter-day revelation. We all can see the disastrous results of men trying to improve on what God has provided.

But there will be nothing else for them. They have the gospel, God's power unto salvation. Let people hear that and quit their foolishness of adding to and taking from the Word of God.
