The "ME" Generation

The title is the description many have given to our present day. It reflects the attitude of selfishness, indulgence, disrespect for authority and "do your own thing" disposition that is so evident in society. So many in this world seem to act as if they think the world circulates around them and they are the other thing that matters. The egotism and pride runs rampant.

This comes to light when considering the authority of God over man. Some, indeed, most have no respect for God (Rom. 10: 18). They refuse to be restricted from whatever they want even by Deity. As a result we see the chaos and overflowing of degeneracy running through society generally. In no area is this so evident than in religion and morality.

While we are to have self-respect, we are not to think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think (Rom. 12: 3) lest we replace God with our own will. Is not this a major problem so evident in our world?
