Take a Break

We would become so amused at a dear one who would start a task and before very long suggest that we all "take a break." We had barely started but he was ready to ease up already.

Taking a break is not a bad idea now and then. We are usually wrong to think we have worked so hard we must "take a break" but there are times when we need to stop and consider not only where we are but which direction we are going. A brief period of recreation (not fun and games necessarily but refresh the energies) can help us be more productive.

The Lord did this. Once He said to His apostles, "Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while" (Mark 6: 31). Even though the work they were doing was so good and important He knew they needed to "take a break." This may  revitalize you also. Try it. But not too much.
