Simplify the Complicated

It is truly a grueling, torturous and frustrating study to attempt to discover why there is so much religious division, hatred, absurdities, inconsistencies and diabolical contentions. Of course, Christ did not come to bring wholesale religion but the faith of which He is the author. But the world is overrunning with religious complications. Why?

Let me suggest that the source of the problem is not that complicated to know. The innumerable and destructive consequences of the divisions are apparent in every walk of life. But why are people so divided?

It depends to what one subscribes as His authority. By what does one measure? Is it some church creed, some man, some feeling, ancestry, what the majority likes, whatever else people use? Not until two people use the same authority of God's Word is there any possibility for unity as God approves. The Bible claims to be the revelation of the authority of Christ. This, and only this, is the measure man should use in His religion. Simple!
