Samson Did This |
||
| Samson broke the
hearts of his parents. In spite of their good efforts to teach him, he
disappointed them. It is necessary that parents teach their children
correctly. But the child has the responsibility to respect that teaching
and walk accordingly. Samson failed to do this. He certainly was not the
last. So many children have broken the hearts of their parents by going
astray from the teaching of Christ that parents gave them.
"A wise son maketh a glad father, but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother" (Proverbs 10:1). "A foolish son is a grief to his father, and bitterness to her that bare him" (Proverbs 17: 25). Children can crush parents, but they also can bring the greatest joy imaginable. When they remain faithful the parents can rejoice. |
