Rolling Back the Clock |
||
| Just about every
comment about Daylight Saving Time has been said. But the idea of rolling
back the clock is fascinating. Actually it is artificial because the past
has passed and there is no undoing it. There may be many things we wish we
could do again, do over, do better, or not do at all, but that is done.
Sins of the past can be forgiven and we can be washed clean by the blood of Christ. Sins can be as if they never occurred as far as a continuing guilt is concerned. Some consequences may linger, but not the guilt. The only way to cover the guilt is by forgiveness and that is what Christ came to provide. We may wish we could roll back more than one hour. But why not take advantage of the Lord's blessings and stand justified in His sight? We can learn from what has happened, but by rolling back the clock we might make things even worse than the first time. Be glad for now and press toward the mark. |
