Not Two, But One

It is often stated that the Lord has a Second Law of Pardon for those who fall away. We can understand what is meant because what one does to become a Christian is not what one does to be restored should he fall away.

But in reality there is only one law with two parts and which part is applicable depends on the condition of the one under consideration. It may be just a matter of semantics but we do not want anybody to think there is more than the Lord's one way to be saved.

Those who have never come to Christ must believe in Christ as the Son of God, repent of sin, confess their faith in Christ and be baptized into Christ for the remission of sins.

Those who have fallen can be restored through repentance, confession of sins and prayer. The Law of the Lord is the only way of salvation regardless of who is involved.
