It Will Keep You Out |

| The greatest goal we
have is to be with God in heaven for eternity. For this reason we strive
to walk in the footsteps of the Savior which leads us to the destiny we
seek. We do concern ourselves about being denied entrance into heaven and
wonder what can keep us out. There is that which can prevent our entrance
into glory.
All the enemies of the world cannot keep us out. Angels cannot keep us out. False teachers cannot keep us out because we do not have to accept their false doctrines. Salvation is "in Christ." We cannot be saved in sin. Sin will keep us out of heaven. It separates us from God (Isaiah 59:1,2). But we can have that barrier removed by the Lord by obeying the gospel and being washed clean by His blood in baptism. Then sin is forgiven and cannot keep us out of heaven. Even sins we commit thereafter cannot keep us out if we will be faithful to him and seek his forgiveness. Whether sin keeps us out of heaven or not is a decision we make. It depends on what we do with the Word Christ has brought to us. Obey it. |
