In Whom

Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:3 that all spiritual blessings are "in Christ." At least four times in this first chapter he uses the phrase "in whom," the "whom" having reference to Christ. Notice some of the blessings we have in Him.

Verse seven: redemption through His blood, forgiveness of sins, the riches of His grace. Verse eleven: our inheritance (which Peter describes in 1 Peter 1:4). Verse thirteen: He is the One we trust and believe, thereby bringing us the guarantee of redemption

Some thirty-six times in Ephesians in one form or another Paul teaches what it means to be "in Christ." That concept appears one hundred seventy six times in the New Testament. It also teaches us how to get into Christ (Galatians 3:27 and Romans 6:3,4). Are you "in Christ" yet?
