He Expected the Kingdom

What did the thief on the cross know about the kingdom of Christ? Possibly he had heard about it because much preaching had been done concerning its coming. We would doubt he had a good grasp of its nature since nearly everyone else seemed to have been expecting an earthly kingdom. It had been made clear that was not the case.

The fact remains that he expected something would come even though Jesus was on the cross. Therefore, it does not seem he looked for an earthly kingdom, but he may have. He does credit Jesus to become a King and sought His favor when He took His place on the throne.

The kingdom came on Pentecost. The thief went to Paradise with Christ. We can safely conclude he was remembered when the Lord came into His kingdom.
