God is a God of Comfort

Without delving into the many stresses and strains which confront us in life, is it not comforting to know that we are not alone in these times of trial and that God is very aware of us and our needs? In First Peter 3: 12 Peter quotes from Psalms 34:15, "For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil."

If ever we could read words that should motivate us to be among the righteous these words do. God's care and providence is a certainty when we will come to Him through Christ and remain loyal and faithful in His cause. With this assurance we can face whatever we are called to encounter and be victorious.

Do you have this promise? You do if you are a faithful Christian. If not, you can have this promise by obeying the gospel through faith, repentance, confession of your faith in Christ and being baptized for the remission of sins.
