Hire a Christian

If a Christian is true to his commitment to Christ he will make a better employee than others. This is not because he may be more skilled necessarily. But he will be diligent, honest, trustworthy, dependable, reliable and at all times will be found doing his best to fulfill his obligation to the one depending on him to do his job.

The reason he is this way is because this is what the doctrine of Christ demands of Christians. Christians do not merely work for wages but for honor to the Savior. He knows he represents to those around him the faith of Christ and he is determined to present it in the best possible light. He strives never to do anything that would bring reproach on Christ.

He knows work is honorable and expected. Those who will not work should not eat. When he puts his hand to a task he does so will all his heart whether he particularly likes what he is doing or not. That is the Christian way. He seeks to please his employer but he seeks to please the Master far more.
