The Cost of Peace is Worth It

Peace is worth the effort it takes to have it. But peace at any price is too costly because it could demand sacrifice of truth. There are different kinds of peace; among nations, between races, with individuals and brethren, and on and on. The greatest peace is with God made possible through the reconciliation provided by Christ (Eph. 2: 14-17)..

Peace does not "just happen." Nor does it continue unless nurtured and strengthened. The same thing that produces peace is what perpetuates peace. That exists when man conforms to the will of God.

Since God has offered peace with man, the responsibility for peace now rests with man obeying God. There is no other way. For men to have peace with each other they must listen to our Creator. It is God's will that we have peace, but it is costly. But who can deny that value of peace is immeasurable.
